At Wemap --building a mapping client based on OpenStreetMap-- our vision was from day one that digital tools could empower us to better understand the world around us. Thus we invested a lot of time and energy in augmented reality. As members of the OSM community, we are thrilled to be part of an initiative that shares the same principles and values in terms of openness, shared responsibility and resources, and community. Furthermore, considering the immense stakes of the AR paradigm shift, Open AR Cloud's mission is of tantamount importance to ensure that these innovations serve mankind.
